Role Summary

We are looking for passionate, dedicated, and community-minded volunteers to support our programmes and initiatives. Volunteers play an important role in helping us deliver impactful services, organize community activities, and improve the lives of the people we serve. Whether you are a student, graduate, or professional, volunteering with HOPENEST offers an opportunity to gain practical experience while making a meaningful difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support community outreach and awareness campaigns.
  • Assist in organizing workshops, trainings, and community events.
  • Support education and mentorship programmes.
  • Participate in environmental conservation activities.
  • Assist in women and youth empowerment initiatives.
  • Support programme implementation and field activities.
  • Help with office administration and documentation when required.
  • Collect community feedback and programme information.
  • Represent HOPENEST professionally in the communities we serve.

The Impact You'll Make

As the Digital & IT Support Specialist, you will manage the organisation's digital infrastructure, website, ICT systems, cybersecurity, and technical support services. You will also help strengthen HOPENEST's digital presence and ensure reliable technology solutions that enable staff and programmes to operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the HOPENEST website.
  • Manage social media platforms and digital communication campaigns.
  • Create graphics, videos, and other digital promotional materials.
  • Provide ICT support for staff, office equipment, and digital systems.
  • Manage Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and cloud-based services.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software.
  • Implement cybersecurity best practices and protect organizational data.
  • Maintain ICT infrastructure including networks and internet connectivity.
  • Support technical requirements during trainings, workshops, and community events.
  • Recommend and implement technology solutions that improve organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, Google, AWS, or related certifications are an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of ICT support or related professional experience.
  • Experience working with NGOs or development organizations is an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Website management and maintenance.
  • Social media and digital marketing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of networking and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and technical support skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
